When should I book holiday lighting in Grand Haven?

September, if you can. Our lakeshore route - Holland, Zeeland, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Muskegon - fills earlier than the inland calendar because we batch the whole shore into the same install weeks. Add lake-effect snow arriving as early as mid-November and the workable window is genuinely short. September booking gets you a Thanksgiving light-on date; December booking gets you whatever weather allows.

Will lakeshore wind pull the lights loose?

Not if the install accounts for it, which is the point. On exposed elevations we tighten clip spacing, cut runs to minimize unsupported strand, and seal every connection against driven snow and rain. We use commercial-grade LED and clip attachment rated for wind and snow load - not retail-box product with retail-box clips. If a storm does knock something loose, in-season service is included and we come out.

My Grand Haven place is a second home. Can you still do this?

Yes, and we set it up specifically for that. App control or timers so the house lights on a schedule whether you are there or not, and an access arrangement so we can install, service, and take down without you driving over. Do you take the lights down, or does that fall to me?

We take them down - January into February - and store the strands at our facility with your name on them. On a second home that is the whole point: you do not have to be in Grand Haven in January, and there is nothing in your garage to deal with next fall.
