Holiday Lighting Done Right
We provide a full-service seasonal lighting program -- design, install, service, removal, and storage. You never touch a ladder or untangle a light string.
All of our lights are commercial-grade LED. Warmer, brighter, and more energy efficient than big-box store lights. And because we store them for you year-over-year, the investment compounds into a beautiful recurring display.

Our Simple 5-Step Process
From first call to final takedown, we handle everything.
- 1
Free Michigan Site Assessment
We walk your property in person, note the roofline, trees, and architectural features, check for ice dam history, and produce a fixed-price quote with no surprise charges.
- 2
Custom Design for Your Property
Every Michigan home and commercial site is different. A Grand Haven lakefront home needs different clips than a Grand Rapids brick warehouse. We design around your actual property.
- 3
Pre-Freeze Installation
West Michigan installs run from late September through mid-November, closing when lake-effect snow arrives. Our crews install in cold weather with the right PPE and equipment.
- 4
In-Season Service Through Every Storm
If a strand fails after an ice storm or a polar vortex week, you text or call. We come out and fix it at no additional charge. Same-day response for commercial contracts.
- 5
Clean January Takedown
Takedown begins the second week of January once roofs are walkable. We pull every clip, leave your gutters clean, and store your lights through summer so they are ready for next October.
What Clients Say
"We have a steep slate roof in East Grand Rapids that scares off most installers. The Michigan Lighting Partners crew showed up with the right equipment, mapped the whole ridge in an afternoon, and the install was flawless. They took the lights down in January without leaving a single clip behind."
"I manage three office parks in Portage and Kalamazoo. We switched to Michigan Lighting Partners two seasons ago and the difference in our tenant feedback has been measurable. They handle install during business hours without disrupting a single tenant."
"They installed a permanent system on our home in Ada last fall. Color changes for every Michigan holiday plus our daughter's graduation in maize and blue. The app is dead simple. Best home upgrade we have done."
"Our HOA in Cascade had been doing DIY common-area lights for years and it always looked uneven. Michigan Lighting Partners came in, did a unified design across the front gate, clubhouse, and twelve perimeter trees. Residents are thrilled."
"Grand Rapids weather is brutal in November. They got our roofline done before the first big lake-effect dump and the lights stayed on through every storm. No outages, no callbacks. Just a clean install and reliable service."
"We have a 1920s home on the bluff in Grand Haven with delicate copper gutters and constant wind off the lake. They used special non-puncture clips and color-matched everything to the trim. You cannot see a single wire during the day. At night it is gorgeous."
"Our retail block on Eighth Street in downtown Holland needed a complete refresh after years of mediocre service. Michigan Lighting Partners lit the entire stretch in two days with coordinated warm white roofline and amber tree wraps. Foot traffic was visibly up by mid-December."
"I was worried about the takedown more than the install honestly. They came out the second week of January, pulled everything, and left the roof and gutters spotless. Our previous installer left clip residue everywhere. Not these guys."
"We run a corporate campus in Portage with five buildings on a thirty-acre site. The annual contract is locked in for three years now. They schedule the install around our quarterly board meetings and the dedicated account manager actually picks up the phone."
"Permanent LED on our Zeeland home was the right call. Year-round porch lighting, holiday colors built in, and the warranty paperwork was clean. They walked us through the app on install day and we have not had a question since."
"Downtown Grand Rapids brick exteriors are tricky because every facade is different. Their crew handled our restaurant frontage, the awning, and the patio bistro lights as one package. We extended outdoor dining into December because of how warm and lit-up the space felt."
"We had storm damage on a tree light run during the December ice storm. I texted at 8 p.m. and someone came out the next morning to repair it. That kind of in-season response is why we will keep using them."
Holiday Lighting FAQs
- We cover West Michigan across four regions. Grand Rapids metro includes Grand Rapids, East Grand Rapids, Ada, Cascade, Forest Hills, Grandville, Wyoming, Hudsonville, Jenison, Rockford, Byron Center, Caledonia, and Lowell. The lakeshore runs from South Haven and Saugatuck through Holland, Zeeland, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg, and Muskegon. Kalamazoo and Southwest Michigan covers Kalamazoo, Portage, Oshtemo, Richland, Battle Creek, Plainwell, Otsego, Paw Paw, Three Rivers, and the Saint Joseph and Benton Harbor area. Mid-Michigan covers Lansing, East Lansing, Okemos, Haslett, Holt, Mason, Jackson, Marshall, Albion, Hastings, and Ionia. We also serve a northern Michigan pocket around Petoskey, Charlevoix, Boyne City, and Gaylord. If your zip code is not listed but you are near our service area, contact us. We do travel for larger commercial projects.
- The West Michigan install window is tight because lake-effect snow arrives early. We open scheduling in late summer and the calendar fills by early October. Installs run from late September through early December, with lakeshore properties in Grand Haven, Holland, and Muskegon scheduled first because they sit directly in the snowbelt. If you book by Labor Day you get first choice of dates. After mid-October we cannot guarantee a pre-Thanksgiving install.
- Yes. Every fixture we install is commercial-grade LED rated for sub-zero operation, snow load, and ice accumulation. Our clip systems are designed to hold under the heavy wet snow that lake-effect bands produce and to release without damaging shingles or gutters during freeze-thaw cycles. On exposed lakeshore properties we add wind-rated attachments because sustained onshore gusts put far more stress on a light run than inland sites ever see. We do not use cheap retail-grade lights that crack at the first hard freeze.
- Yes. Ice dams are a real West Michigan concern and our crews are trained to install in ways that do not contribute to them. We use non-penetrating clips along eaves and never staple or screw into shingles. Wiring is routed away from valleys where snow loads concentrate. If your roof has existing ice dam concerns we will flag them on the site assessment and adjust the design.
