Holiday & Permanent Lighting in East Grand Rapids

Gaslight Village, Reeds Lake, Breton Road - East Grand Rapids has some of the most beautiful rooflines in West Michigan, and almost none of them are simple. Steep pitches, dormers, three-story gables, slate and cedar that you do not put a staple gun anywhere near. That is exactly the kind of house we like.

Serving East Grand Rapids

Drive time from our Grand Rapids base: roughly 10 minutes. East Grand Rapids is about as close to home as our territory gets, and that matters more than it sounds. When a bulb section goes dark on December 19th, we are not scheduling you for next week. We are already on your side of town.

Here is how the work actually goes:

We measure your house, not a package. Every install starts with an on-site walkthrough. We get the linear footage of every run you want lit - main roofline, garage, gables, dormers, the porch - and we cut the strand to your house. The lights that go up in November were built for your roof and no one else's. Same house, next year, same perfect fit.

We hang from the roofline, not through it. All-clip attachment on shingle, gutter, and fascia. No staples, no nail holes, no adhesive on your trim. On the older Reeds Lake homes with original woodwork and slate, we adjust the attachment method to the material rather than forcing one system onto everything.

We are on the roof so you are not. East Grand Rapids has a lot of three-story homes with a lot of steep pitch. That combination is where DIY holiday lighting goes wrong, and it goes wrong in January when the shingles are iced over and you are trying to get everything down.

Then we take it down and store it. Takedown runs January into February. Your strands come back to our facility labeled with your name, so next season's install is a re-hang instead of a rebuild.

Permanent lighting is a strong fit in this neighborhood

A lot of East Grand Rapids homeowners start with a holiday install and move to permanent within a season or two. The reason is straightforward: once the fixture is up under the eave, it does twelve months of work instead of six weeks. Warm white for most of the year so the house has a lit, finished look on a January evening at 5pm. Team colors during the season. Orange in October. Full brightness for a graduation party in June. And no ladder, ever again.

In a neighborhood where the houses are this nice and the winters are this dark, a permanently lit roofline stops reading as "holiday decoration" and starts reading as part of the architecture.
