My house has four gables and a lot of dormers. Is that a problem?

It is the opposite of a problem - it is what makes the finished install look expensive. It does mean more measuring, more separate cuts, and more attention at the plane transitions, which is where a rushed install shows. We measure every run individually on the walkthrough, and the quote reflects the actual complexity of your elevation rather than a per-foot average.

Will you attach anything to my stone veneer, cast columns, or trim?

No. Attachment is all-clip to shingle, gutter, and fascia only. Nothing is stapled, nailed, or glued to stone, brick, cast stone, or finished woodwork. On the walkthrough we show you where the attachment points will be, and if a run would require touching a surface we shouldn't, we route it differently and tell you why.

Can you wrap the columns and do the entry garland too?

Yes, and on Cascade homes with a formal entry we usually recommend it. Column wraps, lit garland over the door, and matching wreaths pull the eye to the entry and finish an elevation that a roofline alone leaves feeling top-heavy. These are quoted as separate items so you can pick and choose.

How much does this cost for a large Forest Hills home?

Driven by total linear footage, roof height and pitch, number of separate gable and dormer runs, and how many extras - columns, garland, wreaths, trees - you add. Complex elevations cost more than simple ones because they genuinely take longer to install correctly. We quote after an on-site measure, since the whole point on these houses is that they are not standard.

Is permanent lighting worth the up-front cost compared to seasonal?

It depends on your horizon. Permanent costs more up front and then eliminates the annual install, the annual takedown, the storage, and the ladder - while giving you twelve months of use instead of six weeks. Homeowners planning to stay put and who like the lit look year-round tend to be happier with permanent. Homeowners who only want December, or who may move soon, are often better served seasonally. We will tell you honestly which one your situation points to.

Do you also light the trees and the driveway?

Yes. Mature tree uplighting and canopy work is common out here, along with drive-line accents on longer approaches. On a large lot the trees frequently do more visual work than an extra roofline run, so we look at the full property on the walkthrough rather than just the house.

Do you handle takedown and storage?

Yes, both, included. Takedown is January into February. Your custom-cut strands come back to our facility labeled with your name, so next season is a re-hang instead of a rebuild - and nothing lives in your garage.
